new staff opportunities at smithton church

Smithton Church is a large evangelical church based in Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands.

As a growing church, we are now looking to appoint two new members of staff to assist with the pastoral workload of the church.

We wish to appoint a Children’s and School Co-ordinator to lead our childrens ministry, in addition to a Bereavement Support Co-ordinator to lead a ministry providing support to those suffering from bereavement.

The Children’s and Schools Co’ordinator post is a full time role, with the Bereavement Support role being a part time post.

The successful applicants will be working under the oversight of the Kirk Session of the congregation, and in partnership with the staff team at Smithton.

There is an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 for the post holder to demonstrate a firm Christian commitment.  As such, the successful candidate will be sympathetic to the values, aims and ethos of the Free Church of Scotland.
