Sunday 11:00 (term-time)
Sunday school is for pre-school children from the age of three and for primary school children. There are about 80 children and 20 adult leaders in total, although they are not always all there at once.
Every Sunday morning during the school term children join the morning service until the end of the children's talk and then go to classes appropriate to their age. They are taught from the Bible about God and what it means to be a Christian.
During the school holidays there is a holiday Sunday school for pre-school children and those in P1. They join the morning service until the end of the children's talk and then leave for their own activities. Older children remain with the adults in the church service.
Around Christmas there is a party for all children and a barbecue is held in the summer.
We also hold Smithton Outreach Sunday-school (SOS) in Smithton Primary School between 15:00 and 16:00 each Sunday during the school term. All children of primary school age are invited to listen to Bible stories and to take part in songs, games and crafts.
If you would like to know more about Sunday school, speak to Colin Macpherson, our Sunday school superintendent.
