> tearfund support group
A local support group meets at 32 Green Drive, Inverness at 19:30 on the second Friday of the month. At this meeting news is shared and the members of the group pray for Tearfund's work. Sometimes a Tearfund worker visits and brings the very latest from the field.
A warm welcome awaits anyone who would like to join this group. Please e-mail Jonathan Appleby for further information.
> please pray for zimbabwe
Tearfund partners are working in an increasingly difficult environment. The work includes providing food aid to orphans, training farmers in improved farming techniques, supporting local churches to provide care for people living with HIV and AIDS and working to reunite street children with their families.
Please pray:
:: that God will give individual Christians and the church the courage to continue challenging Mr Mugabe’s regime in the face of terrible reprisals;
:: that the leaders of Zimbabwe’s neighbours will open their ears to the groans of Zimbabwe’s people and that firm political pressure will be brought to bear;
:: for a wise government and a new era of justice to dawn in Zimbabwe, one in which the country’s rich resources are used for the benefit of the many.
