In June 2005 a team of 13 from Smithton-Culloden Free Church travelled to Athens to spend ten days helping three Greek evangelical churches with outreach work.

Parthenon One of the principal outreach activities was children's work. Team members organised games and shared their faith with the children.

The team was also involved in distributing Christian literature at the local harbours and tourist sites and helped with city-wide clean-up projects, working at some of the bigger attractions in Athens (Parthenon, Mars Hill, Olympic Stadium, etc) that tend to become messy when thousands of tourists flood in during the summer months.

Azar Ajaj, Botrus Mansour, David Meredith, Argyris Petrou In September 2005 we enjoyed a return visit from Argyris Petrou, pastor of one of the evangelical churches with whom our team worked. Argyris came to Smithton for a special missions weekend, along with two elders from the Local Baptist Church in Nazareth. It was a memorable weekend when we were reminded very vividly that we are all one in Christ Jesus.

> please pray

::  Thank God for the good relationships which were established through the mission trip to Athens in June.

::  Pray that we in Smithton and the Christians in Athens and Nazareth would be able to encourage and support one another in spreading the Gospel.
