who we are
Smithton-Culloden Free Church (sometimes referred to simply as 'Smithton') is a congregation of just over 300 people. We are a mixed bunch: all sorts of personality types from a variety of walks of life. There are many young families in the church but other age-groups are also well represented. Whatever your age or background, you will find a person like you in Smithton-Culloden. Take a look at our photos page.

We are part of the Free Church of Scotland, an evangelical Presbyterian church established as a result of the Disruption in 1843. At that time more than 400 ministers left the Church of Scotland in protest against the State's interference in church matters. Today, the Free Church of Scotland has over 100 congregations throughout Scotland, as well as several in London and North America.

We also enjoy good relationships with other evangelical churches in the Smithton and Culloden areas, particularly Culloden Baptist Church, The Barn Church of Scotland and The King's Fellowship.
