Sunday services at smithton
The church is a family, adopted as sons and daughters of God. Therefore, we are living in this world as brothers and sisters, not merely acquaintances who happen to worship in the same building. It is our hope that Smithton Church is a vibrant community of believers – strengthening, encouraging, rebuking, exhorting, and caring for one another. And we are called to live as missionaries in our own environments — school, work, leisure. This is how the church strengthens and advances.
The church meets every Sunday at 11am and 6pm for our main services. It helps to get there 10 minutes early to get a parking spot and seat in time for the service to start. If you can't find a space in the car park you are also welcome to use the car park in the Catholic Church accross the road.
You can expect a warm welcome, great worship, a preached sermon (Bible teaching) and a friendly group of people gathering to learn more about God.
We have a fantastic programme for the kids for ages 0–12. Children stay with their grown-up at the start of the morning as we worship together for the first part of the service. After a kids talk and the first couple of singings the children will head out into the church lobby to meet for their Sunday club programmes. The kids will have great fun playing games, and learning about God in a way tailored to their age group.
After the main meeting finishes there is an opportunity to meet together over tea, coffee and biscuits in the cafe lounge - it's a great opportunity to meet new people or catch up with people you already know.
If you have any questions about our services or need to get in touch with us about any other enquiry we will be happy to help. Send us an e-mail here.
